Well, hello there! My name is Vegas and I’m looking for my next home. I’m a two-year-old tortie who loves ear scratches and basking in the sun. I am looking for a home preferably without young kiddos or high-energy dogs as I like my space and can be a little slow to warm up around a lot of activity, though I have gotten used to the kiddos in my foster home.
My ideal day is made up of a few cat naps in the sun, keeping an eye on everything that’s going on, and getting a few pets and head scratches from you. I get along great with other cats, and don’t mind dogs as long as they don’t pay much attention to me. I am a curious girl so you’ll often find me poking my head around corners and in different rooms to see what’s going on.
I’m very good at using the litter box, and having some space to myself really brings out my confidence and bravery. So far I haven’t been too interested in toys, but perhaps in the right setting that could change. I prefer to stay on the ground and not be picked up, but once we get to know each other I’ll likely be snuggling up to you because I do love attention and affection.
I can be a bit shy around new people so while I won’t be your greeting committee, I will make a lovable companion who is ultra-content in a calmer environment.
