My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*York, PA * Meet Britta!
This beautiful girl was found as a stray in Spring Grove. She was scared and untrusting of people. With the help of Find Toby, she was able to be trapped safely. While on stray hold, no one came forward to claim her so ODAAT committed to helping her find a forever home.

Britta is a young German Shepherd who is true to her breed; sweet, loving and very eager to please. She’s estimated to be about 10 months to a year old. Although we do not know her full story, she has made great progress while in foster care. She is currently being fostered with two other dogs. Britta LOVES to play with her foster brother and play ball in the yard. While she is still young, she can be mouthy and vocal when playing, but it’s all fun and games. Britta would do best with an active playmate. Although she loves to play she also loves to snuggle next to her humans. She is working on leash manners, but that will come over time. While she has made great progress, we feel she would benefit from furthered training. Britta has caught on to basic commands “sit”, “paw” and is working on “stay”. Due to her young age, she can be unaware of her size at times. Britta does well with kids, however she would benefit from living with older children as she is still working on her manners. She is a quick learner; house broken and crate trained! A fenced in yard is not required, but preferred. Britta is looking for an active family that is willing to dedicate their time to training with her and showing her unconditional love.
Britta is spayed and up to date on all vaccines.  When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are ran prior to choosing an adopter.. This process takes time and we do not adopt out on a "first come first served" basis. Applications are found on our website www.onedogatatime.us.
