My story

My name is Baton Rouge and I do answer to my name (so please don't change it). I am very curious and I love going for walks with and without other 4-legged friends, chasing squirrels (in my back yard), chilling in the shade and getting my belly rubbed. Did I mention that I love to eat, including carrots for snacks, and can jump high for treats? When riding in a car, I like to sit high so I can see the world passing by (w/windows closed).
I understand 'down' for sit (that's what I was taught) and 'No'. Although I enjoy being outdoors, I do not like being left outside by myself. I will go obediently into my kennel for nighttime until I get used to my furever home and then hopefully, I would be allowed to sleep on a dog cushion (outside the kennel). I do not jump on furniture! Please consider adopting me so I can cuddle with you and you can give me belly rubs.
