Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Day to day, Otis loves walks and playing tug. He is good at dog parks, playing respectfully with other dogs or sniffing around. He will "boop" you with his nose when he wants to play or wants to go for a walk, and loves to cuddle. Despite Otis's affectionate and lovable nature, he is also a guard dog and unfortunately has a history of aggression, including biting (without breaking skin) his owners as well as some doggy sitters. His aggression occurs almost exclusively indoors, often while guarding his owners or resources. It will be important for Otis to be adopted into a home without children. We believe a single owner that lives alone with limited visitors would be ideal as we think this environment would make it unlikely for his aggression to manifest. Otis makes a wonderful companion and loves being around his owner. The owner should invest time in behavior modification with Otis to work on reducing his triggers. We've loved Otis for two years and hope to find him a fitting home.
