My story

Many questions are answered in the body of the bio on each dog. Please take time to ready the entire posting and if you are interested in one of our fur babies, email storkwoods@comcast.net for an application as this is the best way to begin the adoption process.

Meet our Luca. So many great qualities about this 6 month old puppy! He loves to run and play outside, comes when he is called, and is potty trained. The only accidents he has is if your not paying attention when he needs to go out. He will go and sit by the door and look at you. He still has some normal puppy behavior like nipping when your playing and he loves to jump which we are working on and he is responding well. He will curl up on the couch with you and cuddle and loves belly rubs. Luca needs someone who is active and has room to play and time to work with him on training. Luca is crate trained and loves to go on walks. He loves cats but would do best with a cat that can hold its own because he wants to play. Luca is amazing in so many ways except for the fact that he does NOT want to share his food or any treats. For some reason this is a trigger for him so he will need to eat in his own area. Due to this, we will not be placing him in a home with children as they sometimes forget to steer clear of the furry friend when he is eating. If you would like an application for this handsome boy, email storkwoods@comcast.net

This dog is being fostered in Middle TN but we do have transport available to the NE.

Why adoption is a great option

Luca, a Milford Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Milford, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
