My story

A very special pair! Two little look-alike cuties, one with a pink nose, Hawthorn, and the other with a black nose, Juniper. Born together, and even though they are very young, they have become so bonded that they must stay together. Both are loving and playful. They love to snuggle together and groom each other. The little cutie pie male, Hawthorn, is normal in every way except that he was born with a non-contagious condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which causes jerky movements, tremors and generally walking and balance problems. In Hawthorn's case, he needs to be hand fed because he cannot hold his head steady yet. (Most CH cats will not be able to jump up on counters or scratch furniture and are very popular for that reason.) A CH cat can live as long as any other cat, and there is no treatment or medicine needed. Hawthorn relies on his sister, Juniper, and watches whatever she's doing. Juniper is not CH, and when we are feeding him, she cries for him until he is finished. She loves him unconditionally. Hawthorn is currently receiving physical therapy, as shown in the video.
We would love for serious potential adopters to be able to meet this special pair. After adoption, we will always be available to offer advice and support. Born 4/22.

Additional adoption info

We do have an application form on our website. A home check is also done. We know our animals well and work hard to make sure the adoption will be a purr-fect match! We will be happy to answer your questions. We want an adoption to be the right fit for both the humans and the animal. When you adopt a pet from us, you can rest assured that you are getting a pet who is much loved, well-cared for, and whom we know well. In turn, we know that an adopter will provide a loving, caring, home. Cat adoptions are usually $125 each. Dog fees are based on breed. All are current on vaccinations and neutering. Some are microchipped. They are vetted again before delivery. All of our adoptable cats and dogs are pictured on our website, with their videos, at www.lifelineforpets.org.

Go meet their pets

SPECIAL OFFER: Adopt any two kittens or bonded cats for a limited time "TWOFER" PRICE--that's 2 for the price of 1 and includes kitten vaccines, spay/neuter, and microchips--a GREAT DEAL! The best way to see all of our adoptable cats and/or dogs is via our website: www.lifelineforpets.org. Each animal has a description where you can see its age, gender, personality, etc. We currently show cats for adoption on Sundays at Petsmart in Pasadena. Our website will give more details regarding locations and times. NOTE: During the CO-VID 19 quarantine we are not showing at Petsmart. In addition, you can call to make an appointment to visit our Catpad located in Pasadena, CA. This is always a good idea, in order to see our shyer cats in their comfort zone, as well as our very outgoing kitties. We would also love to add you to our email list so that you can be among the first to receive our adorable slideshows and other bulletins. Send us an email request.
