ABOUT ME: Hello I am Max. I am a pretty cool dude who is all about playing and chilling out. I know several commands, like sit and shake. I can even catch a treat in mid-air! I walk well on a leash and I've been told I'm housetrained- I'm not sure what that means, but I heard it's impressive! Don't want to forget that I have the perfect "Blue Steel" pose!
Foster Testimonial: "Max did great. He ate and drank fine, and did well inside my home with both my boyfriend and I, and did not have any accidents. He was a good walker. When encountering other dogs, Max seemed curious at times and indifferent at others. However, he did not bark or pull in order to get closer to any furry friends. We took him to a couple coffee shops where he sat outside and waited patiently for a treat or a lick of whip cream. He was pretty low maintenance! "
DOGS: I think I'm all the dog you need in your life, but I'm willing to meet any potential siblings to see if we can be besties.

To adopt a pet from the SPCA of Texas, we not only help make love connections, but we then walk you through an adoption process that is geared to ensuring you and the pet are a great match. There is a contract to sign at the end of the process. Adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies 0-6 months: $150
Adult dogs 6 months or older: $75

The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations (which can include Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Parainfluenza and Bordetella), spay/neuter surgery, deworming treatment, initial heartworm preventative, a rabies tag, Free health examination within fourteen days of the adoption thanks to our partnership with VCA Animal Hospitals, a leash and a microchip. Dogs over 6 months of age are also given a heartworm test (SNAP occult). Free week of training through Good Pup.
