My story

Mimi snuck in to our basement this past winter and gave birth to 5 adorable babies in our basement. She appears to be about 1-2 years old. We relocated her and the litter upstairs in to our spare bedroom, where she and the babies currently reside.
She was initially skittish, but quickly warmed up to us. Now she looks forward to pets and treats every day.
We already have many cats and can't sustain this many more.
Please give her a loving home.

Why adoption is a great option

Mimi, a Rochester American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Rochester, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Rochester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester paves the way for another one to be saved.
