My story

Hello friends, Adobe is here and better than ever.

I am an 8-year-old spayed female with gorgeous white and grey coloring. I was born in 2014 and have lived my life to the fullest.

I've had the same owner since I was younger, can you imagine how hard it's been separating from the person I got most used to? Well, my personality has definitely helped me adjust to shelter life and not in a bad way. I do want to find a forever home with an adopter that will accept me but for now, MaxFund is my temporary home until my day comes to leave with my adopters. I LOVE to get play time in my room. I use this time for walking around, brushing my head against objects, and simply sitting on the cat scratcher to get my exercise in for the day. I am the sweetest little lady when you are around me long enough. I will allow you to pet me by nudging you with me head, so you know I am ready.

I was brought to the shelter as a relinquishment. I was previously in a household with my fur friend, who is now located at another household. I was put on the waitlist to get relinquished, found a potential adopter for both my friend and me. They were not able to take in both of us, so we got placed back on the waitlist. Turns out, I was more work than they thought, so I was the only one that needed to still find a home because somebody came along and fell in love with my friend who is thriving in another home. I am wishing to do the same, so if you are interested in helping me find a home that I can be happy with that is acceptable with me!

More about this shelter

The MaxFund is a non-profit organization that was established in May of 1988 to provide medical care for injured pets with no known owners, and to seek out new homes for these animals once they have recovered. The MaxFund is a no-kill dog and cat shelter. MaxFund assists hundreds of people and animals each year by trying to make the correct match between owner and pet. MaxFund adopts our animals to Colorado residents only. The MaxFund is a TRUE no-kill shelter. There is no pre-sorting of animals into "adoptable" and "non-adoptable" categories, discarding the so-called "unadoptable." The MaxFund takes every animal it has the space for. EVERY animal is kept until its owner is found or it is placed in a new adoptive home.
