My story

Hi everyone! I’m Penny and I’m 6 years old – I’m so grown up now. My family moved overseas and couldn’t take me with them. They cried a lot and apologized to me so many times. I understand it was difficult for them to leave me but I’m ready to move on now. So, what can I tell you about myself? I get along with other dogs well. I’m not sure about cats as I’ve never hung out with them before. I can be a little skittish in certain situations so I need a patient family who can give me so time and training. I like older children. Small children make me a bit anxious. If you’d like to get to know me better, you can reach out to the folks at Save the Dals. I am located in San Diego, California. Interested: email info@savethedals.org or call 949-590-9935.

Why adoption is a great option

PENNY - Adoptef, a Southern CA Dalmatian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian for sale in Southern CA, or seeking a Dalmatian dog from a breeder in Southern CA.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southern CA already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southern CA breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian breeders who help with Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southern CA paves the way for another one to be saved.
