Here is your chance to own your own little Truffle pig! Ok, Garbanzo is a Chihuahua dog but he spends his days grunting and searching for any crumbs he can find with his nose. He is a Roomba vac that walks back and forth across the house cleaning up any scraps. He is a small guy with a big personality! He obviously loves food and will let out this loud screech like an eagle when it's feeding time. He will run after you holding his food bowl and will trip or run into walls because he is so focused on that bowl! Besides food, Garbanzo loves the company of other dogs. He doesn't understand the concept of boundaries though and will literally walk on top of them while he is scavenging for food. He also will spend hours cleaning his friends eyes and ears. Some of our dogs enjoy this while others get annoyed with him and feel like he is encroaching in their bubble. If you have a tolerant, lazy pup, Garbanzo would love him/her! He doesn't spend a lot of time sitting still but when he does, it's usually curled up next to one of his dog buddies or in a pile of soft blankets. Garbanzo has a stomach of steel but he does need to eat softened food due to his teeth. He just had a full dental and had several teeth pulled. You couldn't even tell he had surgery, Garbanzo is a tough little guy. He can sometimes be grumpy. He doesn't like being picked up by people he doesn't know but, because he loves food so much, we learned you just need to give him a treat while picking him up and he is totally fine! And that is only if you are new to him. Our fosters and volunteers can all pick him up without a bribe now! Garbanzo is between 10 and 13 years old according to our vets. He is under 10lbs and is a really cute guy. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He does well in a crate and enjoys car rides. Garbanzo gets along well with dogs and cats (although they don't all like him) but he should not go to a home with children.
