Maggie – A Cowgirl Cutie

Yellow Female, Age 1, 50 lbs.

Howdy Partners and Friends of the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno!  Maggie here – a Cowgirl Cutie looking for a Lab-Loving family full of hugs and kisses who want happy, fun loving, fur-faced beauty to be part of their family.  If you are that family, well, what are you waiting for?  I’ll pack my bags with tail wags because I’m the gal for you!

I see you out there shaking your heads and wondering.  How could a Cowgirl Cutie end up on a rescue site?  Well, like so many, I found myself the victim of the housing shortage and ended up homeless on the streets.  I won’t lie, it was tough!  Modern day dogs aren’t cut out to be on their own.  Lucky for me, I have lots of smarts and I know most people are simply amazing, so I found one I liked, jumped in her car and said with my eyes… help!  And she did.  She brought me to her farm and reached out to the heroes of all dogs – the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno to help find me a forever home!  Ain’t life grand!

So, at a year old, I am still mostly a big puppy at heart.  Typical Labby girl with energy, happiness, and love to spare and share.  Because I was on the streets relying on my own street smarts, I have a lot to learn, but I did say I was smart, right?  I have already learned a few basic commands and am so desperate to learn more to please my new friends.  As not all things are friendly on the streets, I need patience and proper introductions if I need to live with another dog.  But I will say, humans are great!  I love all things I get to do with people.  Car rides?  Heck, I’m in!  A long walk or jog?  I’ll be your inspiration!  And after a day of fun and frolic, I just want to be by your side.  Well?  Do you have what it takes to make a Cowgirl Cutie yours?

Maggie is available for adoption through the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno.  She is a very sweet, higher-energy girl who is happy, loving and just wants to please and be loved.  She loves most people and is good with kids.  She will require proper introduction to other dogs and may do Ok with a dog savvy cat.  She loves car rides, walks, jogs, and about any form of exercise.  Like all young Labs, training and exercise are essential for her to reach her full potential. If you have room in your heart and your home for this Cowgirl Cutie, please fill out an application at our website.

Thank You,

The Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno
