My story

River-female-spayed-2 years. Meet River! She is currently 46 pounds and has medium energy. River was found as a stray after living for about three months in the woods along a river. River needs an experienced owner who know how to deal with shy dogs. She would benefit from having a fenced in yard. She currently lives in a foster home with three cats she ignores and one dog she loves. One of River‘s favorite things to do is bounce around the fenced in yard playing with her foster mom's dog. River also enjoys quiet walks when fewer people are outside. Although shy, River has a sweet and loving personality. She likes to be in the same room as her person, and she loves the couch! River would do best in a home with children older than ten, as younger children may overwhelm and frighten her. If you have a quiet home and are interested in River, please apply at cchswi.org.

I am fixed, current on my rabies (if old enough), distemper and kennel cough vaccinations. I have been de-wormed and I have also been microchipped. I have been examined by a vet and received my certificate of veterinary inspection. I have been tested for heartworm too. If you are interested in me, please head to the CCHS website at www.cchswi.org and fill out an application. Thank you! DATCP License 266742-DS
