The adoption fee for dogs and cats can be found on our website and includes vaccines, dewormer, spay or neuter, and more. Dogs are tested for heartworm, provided preventative healthcare, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and temperament tested. Cats are provided preventative healthcare, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and temperament tested. Feline viral testing is available for all cats over 5 months of age for just $15. Both cats and dogs are also provided a free bag of Hills Science Diet pet food. Rabbits and other small pets are provided a health and behavior exam, preventative healthcare, and are spayed or neutered. Our adoption process takes about an hour as you get acquainted with the animals and find the perfect match. Our adoption agreement requires you to follow basic laws regarding pets on Kauai and asks simple questions to help you determine if you are ready for a new pet in your life. We do prohibit adopting dogs to be used for pig hunting. We want to be the first place on Kauai people think to go if they are considering a new pet for their family and are always open to suggestions and comments to provide the best adoption services possible.

We are an independent animal welfare organization and not a chapter of any mainland or Hawaii group.
