Welcome Sterling to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 6-month-old Dachshund mixed puppy. He weighs about 8 pounds. He has her brand-new adult teeth coming in and he has that adorable long and low body that we Doxie lovers adore. He likes to be held and when he is tired he is still. Otherwise, he wants down so he can play. He came from Devine Animal Control. They were on the euthanasia list because of space when they gave CCPAL a call. CCPAL took all 3 of them in this litter. There were 2 girls and one boy. Sterling is the only boy and has the longer legs. Lilly is the calmer and less active of the 3. Iris is about 7 pounds and looks to be more of a mini body size and shape. He will be great with a family. A house with less number of stairs or none would be best for the longer Doxie body. We like the children to be 8 or older. He is very sweet, active, playful and social. He would be great with other dogs or fine as an only and fine with a cat. He is the most bossy of the 3 pack. A previous Doxie owner is always a bonus as well. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states
