My story

Max is a wonderful purebred Yorkie who would love to find a quiet retirement home! Max still has lots of life left and loves to jump on you for kisses, patrol the neighborhood through the windows, and chase any small wildlife critter in the yard. He has the goofiest smile and loves to show off his teeth.

Max is a sweet guy who is very big on playing with toys and LOVES playing fetch and tug. He is okay being petted and picked up but mostly just wants to cuddle with you on the couch. He will lick every bare inch of skin if you let him. Max is a confident and laidback senior around other dogs but he has never been around cats. Max is mostly housetrained but has had an accident overnight with access to the whole house. He was crated during the workday with his original owner for 8 hours and goes into his crate willingly but he will cry and bark if you leave him in there while you're home.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

You can email us at seniorpetsunited@gmail.com with any questions about our adoption process or inquiries about any of our animals. Most of our animals have a $100-$150 adoption fee and we do require a contract to be signed at the time of adoption. You can find our adoption application on our website, seniorpetsunited.org. We ask that you list your veterinarian as a reference on your application, and we would appreciate you giving them a call when you submit your application to give them permission to share information about your pets over the phone with a representative of Newman Nation.

Go meet their pets

Because Newman Nation is a foster-based rescue spread out over multiple states, we do not have a centralized adoption facility and currently do not have any planned adoption events. Once you inquire about an animal or submit an adoption application, the animal's foster parent will get in touch with you about setting up a meet and greet and/or home visit.
