My story

Meet Daisy, a beautiful, 7-year-young sweetheart. Sadly, Daisy’s family must move to a home that does not permit them to have pets. :(

Daisy is a sweet, loving, lazy cat that adores sun naps for most of the day. She loves laser toys and string toys. She thinks butt scratches are pretty great, oh, along with chin scratches, scratches in general, and smelling her favorite people’s breath! Hey, at least it’s not her favorite people’s butts! ;)

This girl thrives in a peaceful environment for her nap time and enjoys house guests, assuming of course that they are there to scratch her butt. Lol.

Daisy is in great health but has a vet visit scheduled on June 3rd to update her vaccines and check on some light hair loss (likely due to seasonal allergies).

Daisy gets along best with those who play gently (no rough play, so babies and toddlers may not be the best fit).

This sweet girl will make an excellent companion and forever fur baby.

For more info contact Debbie at Jake’s Place 415-548-0824 or email adoptions@jakesplacecatrescue.org.

Daisy is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.

Why adoption is a great option

Daisy, a Novato Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Novato, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Novato.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Novato already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Novato breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Novato paves the way for another one to be saved.
