Lil Dicky the pupper is an 8 month old Shepherd/Pittie mix that is ready to move and groove into a forever home! He came to us as an owner surrender as his previous family could no longer take care of him due to personal reasons. Lil Dicky was a great addition to our rescue pack and he has been doing amazing under our care for the past few months!
Lil Dicky, who’s name is inspired by the famous rapper, could pull off being actual Lil Dicky in dog form as they have many similarities. He is a comical fellow that befriends everyone he meets with his spunky energy and his silly antics. He is constantly entertaining the volunteers on the daily as he greets them every morning with a smile and a wagging tail. Dicky is always up and ready for a fun day of play and training. He is your typical, happy-go-lucky puppy with lots of playful energy that is best burned off through fetch, long walks, and doggy play dates. He is also a huge fan of the water and loves to go swimming, especially on hot days as his preferred way to cool off. Often times he tends to lean on his human friends and ask for back scratches and affection. He is a total love bug! On a day-to-day routine, Dicky likes to spend a portion of his time dedicated to physical exercise and another portion dedicated to mentally stimulating activities. He is working on mastering his basic obedience and his loose leash walking skills. With treats and positive reinforcement he is really getting the hand of things and enjoys learning new tricks! He is also crate trained and is almost entirely potty trained as well. Dicky’s ideal home would be one with a potential canine housemate to play with him, no cats or children, and an active family that will exercise him and continue his training. He is a young pup after all that would benefit from a leader to teach him the do’s and dont’s to keep him out of trouble.
