Miso is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with her current owner in Oakland. Adoption fee applies. Find out more about Owner Placement Cats.
The arrival of a new baby in Miso's home, and the resulting allergic reactions, has regrettably caused her owners to make the difficult decision to find a new home for her.

The owners say this about their adorable purebred Himalayan:

"Miso is a 10 pound lovebug and the queen of the household. Her sassy personality, grumpy face, curly whiskers and baby blue eyes are hard to resist!

Miso requires an owner with previous Persian experience. She requires eye cleaning, daily brushing and grooming visits to keep her beautiful coat mat-free (at least 4 x year). She needs a patient adopter since a few years ago, a groomer came to our home and accidentally nicked her. She must be an indoor only cat, has her claws but never scratches furniture.

She is confident and tolerates other cats and cat friendly dogs but would prefer to be the only fur child. She is wary of strangers but after a few weeks of playing and feeding she will warm up! Miso would do best in a home with a single owner or couple with no kids. She is very sweet and bonds to her owners but is not a lap cat. She likes her space but will chase your feet when she is looking for chin pets or to play. Otherwise, she likes to lounge in the sun and look at birds out the window."

Miso's last Vet check was April 2021, no health concerns were noted and she continues to be healthy. She enjoys Orijen Cat Food and is Litter box perfect.

Preference will be given by Miso's owners to applicants that have relevant experience owning and caring for purebred Persian cats, the commitment to required daily brushing, eye care, and regularly scheduled professional grooming, a quiet household, and are home most of the time with no young children or other pets.

Standard Adoption fee of $300 applies.
Miso is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
She currently lives with her owner in Oakland.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

Why adoption is a great option

Miso, a Davis Himalayan cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Himalayan for sale in Davis, or seeking a Himalayan cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Himalayan breeders who help with Himalayan rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
