My story

Butters and his brother Biscuit are a bonded pair that have survived some really tough times and are ready for their happily ever after. They are a little over a year old.
Despite being vaccinated, they contracted panleukopenia last summer. While Biscuit had only a mild case and recovered quickly, Butters was extremely sick for a couple of weeks and almost didn't survive.
However, tought little cookie that he is, he DID survive and is now completely healthy. Unfortunately, the high fever caused some neurological damage that left him similar to a cat with mild CH (cerebellar hyperplasia). He walks with a funny little wide-legged stance and isn't comfortable jumping or climbing. If he gets overly excited, he can get a little head wobble going and fall over. That's it. Otherwise, he is a sweet and happy boy that should be able to live a long and normal life. He is super bonded with his brother Biscuit. The two of them must go together.
They have lived with dogs and would be fine with a cat-friendly dog or two.July 3, 2022, 7:01 pm

More about this rescue

We are a 3900 sf cage-free rescue and sanctuary that is home to approximately 100 felines at any given time. Some are super-friendly and highly adoptable, others are a little more reserved and take some time to get to know you, and then there are those that still want nothing to do with people. The biggest little rescue in Nevada, we do big things with very few people or money. We do not limit intake to a specific geographic area. We are the only organization that accepts adult cats from Lyon and Storey counties. We are adoption driven, with a maximum capacity of 100 felines. Every cat adopted from us frees up a space for another in-need kitty to come to Catmandu.
