Adorable Roo is one of the smartest puppies ever! She has already learned sit/shake/high 5/down/roll over/ and wait and she's practicing the stay command and walking on leash also. Her days are full of fun playing with her brother Biggs, splashing in the kiddie pool, chasing a fuzzy tennis ball and exploring the backyard. Soft squeaky toys are her most favorite ~ and on the plus side, she doesn't make it her mission to take out the squeaker - yay! Watching her slim, long legs running through the yard, we think she'd be great at agility and a super walking/hiking companion too.
Roo would love a home with another nice dog to play with or she can be an only dog soaking up all the attention. She responds well to gentle handling. Her personality is a bit on the shy side which we are working on by teaching her skills to build confidence and taking her to dog friendly places and adoption events. She does great with respectful children and loves to play with the friendly feral cats who have taken up residence in her foster's yard.
This adorable terrier mix is currently about 30 lbs and should be a medium size adult dog. Roo sleeps in a crate at night and is very good with potty training as long as you take her out regularly. Quite impressive for such a young pup!
FUN FACT: Foster Mom sings Roo and her brother Biggs to sleep every night.
Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX where puppies are located) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area)

Additional adoption info
Adoption application required.
Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..
If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets
We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.
Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.
We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.
We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
