My story

Sweet little Martha was found running down a country road. She jumped into a good Samaritan's car and curled up on their lap...shaking like a leaf. We checked for microchip and will all the local facilities to see if she had gotten lost, but no one was looking for her....so she became a member of our rescue and we are now helping Martha find a loving FOREVER FAMILY.
Is that you?
Martha is an adult about 11 lbs, we think she is a chihuahua, maybe a rat terrier mix. She is sweet and loving with people, good with kids and cats. She is frightened of other dogs so needs slow introductions and dogs that are calm and assertive.
Martha loves to snuggle. she is house and pee pad trained, walks well on a leash and is just as cute as can be.

Why adoption is a great option

Martha, a Milford Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier for sale in Milford, or seeking a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
