Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I got Tucker from a reputable breeder at 8 weeks old. He is a 1.5 year old Goldendoodle who sheds minimal to none (great for allergies!). He is just under 35lbs full grown. Tucker is the nicest, most friendly dog 99% of the time. He is great at simple commands like drop it, sit, down, paw, leave it, and stay. The problem arises when Tucker has anything he deems high value. In that moment he growls and snaps. Right after he is done eating whatever he was guarding, he goes right back to being a great dog and seems to forget that he was ever bad. We have gone to behaviorist and have him very well trained to 'leave it', we don't take anything from his mouth and he is not allowed to have certain items he may guard (like bones) . If it was just my husband and I we would have no issues but unfortunately my children are young and not able to adhere to the same guidelines as consistently. He is very affectionate and will make a great companion to someone without kids.
