My story

My name is Fiona Marie and I am not related to Shrek. In fact, he would be too loud for me, I like peace and quiet. I am probably a chiweenie, as you can see by my glam shots (good looking, right?). I am not the one to entertain little kidlets, they move around too much and make too much noise for me. I am three years old and weigh 8 pounds, so I have had three long years to figure out what I like, and it’s definitely chicken and belly rubs. We can sit on the couch and eat chicken, maybe? In my past, I didn't  do much running around in the yard, or riding in the car, and I don't recall going to Home Depot, so I don't like those activities like I do chicken, but we can try.

Dogs? I have lived with dogs and might even play with another little dog. I am living with a big dog now, and I just ignore her. She has no chicken.

Crates? I don't need a crate, but if you leave the house to get more chicken, I could wait in the crate, but don't expect me to sleep by myself in the crate, not unless you want to get in too? Didn't  think so…

Potty trained? I didn't spend three years in the yard, so I was thinking that is what pee pads are for. But, I have learned from the Big Dog with No Chicken, that we pee out in the yard. Poo, too, leave it outside. Not saying I get it right, 100% of the time.

What else? Oh, lovey, huggie, kissie, snuggie stuff. Sure, that's good stuff. I like those things. In fact, it makes my day. Tote me around, treat me like a princess, tell me your problems, quit your job, hang out with me.

I have only been working on the New Me for a few days, so some of this might change. I am a bit shy around new people, but I give them a chance to win me over, share their chicken with me. I love my foster Mom, and we just met.

Why adoption is a great option

Fiona Marie, a Alpharetta Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Alpharetta, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Alpharetta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alpharetta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alpharetta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alpharetta paves the way for another one to be saved.
