This handsome boy was surrendered by his former owner after he tied him up outside to avoid taking him to the shelter. Carlo is a 3 1/2 year old German Shepherd who weighs 80 lbs and he is truly magnificent with his long thick black tail and lanky build.

Carlo is a goofy, fun loving playful boy. He absolutely loves his toys and enjoys meeting new people. Carlo does great with the other dogs in his foster home (both big and small), but will need slow introductions outside of the home. Carlo is very food motivated which will make training a breeze. He's super smart and has already mastered many basic commands such as default sit and eye contact.

Carlo will do best in a home that has some experience with large breed dogs, and someone who loves the German Shepherd breed. We think Carlo would really enjoy going on daily outings such as long walks or hikes. Carlo is very well mannered around the house and is potty trained. He also loves working on his smart toys while his foster dad is away. We would prefer a home with a yard for Carlo and no small kids due to his size.

Carlo's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, registered microchip, vaccines current, deworming and flea treatment. Apply at www.lovebugsrescue.org
