My story

These two really put the 'P' in precious.
Abby (the tuxedo) was featured a few months ago as Christine. She was rescued -pregnant- from deplorable conditions where she had to contend with bottles, rocks and stray dogs.
Her kitten is Lucky. He is 10 weeks old and one of the most visually striking felines to ever grace a cat tree at PAWS. He's playful and loves being held.
Abby is a little over a year old, laid-back and never shies away from a good belly rub.
Both have kept us grounded when so much in life around us seems uncertain. But now it's time to usher Abby and Lucky off to their forever home. Such is the cycle of animal rescue and fostering.
They are a bonded pair and will not be separated. We encourage only the most serious-minded individuals to apply to adopt these two gems.

Why adoption is a great option

Lucky, a High Point Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in High Point, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in High Point.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in High Point already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a High Point breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in High Point paves the way for another one to be saved.
