Bolt is a top-pick for families! Once you meet him, he will charm his way into your heart! He is a total people-lover, always eager to play or take a nap in a willing lap or arms. If he finds himself alone, he uses his super sweet voice to call for someone. Bolt has black fur with light grey stripes on his tummy and legs, with a grey undercoat.
Sweet, cuddly, playful & energetic. From the "Bobblehead" Litter named for their chubby cheeks and round heads. Super cute! They resemble American shorthair cats but we make no claim as to breeding since these are all rescued cats. Raised in a busy home with older children. Will be available by mid-June after healing from spay surgery. Location: ROCKLIN, CA **Please submit an application and be as thorough & detailed as possible. By private appointment in Rocklin, CA area, at Bark Avenue Rocklin or foster home.
APPLICATION:
Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs if we think it's a potentially good match.
INTERVIEW:
An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time.
APPROVAL:
If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files.
TIME FRAME:
Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days.
WHY:
Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you!
