Let us introduce fabulous Rover!

Rover was born approximately 02/01/22. He's skinny and lengthy and we think he'll be a tall boy, about 60 lbs. We have no clue what breed mix he is so we're making a wild guess here; maybe lab, hound, super mutt... Rover is an energetic but very calm dog. He's initially shy with new people but will warm up given time. He has an independent nature and is not needy but loves to be near his people. He does fabulous with other dogs and we'd like him to go to a home with another canine friend. He's around our pack of dogs and does extremely well. We think he'd do great with another dog his size and energy. Rover has very little prey drive and could live with cats with slow introductions and guidance. He's around chickens and likes to check in on them but loses interest quickly. Rover is crated when unsupervised and is doing exceptionally well, being quiet and keeping it clean. He'll need continued guidance as he grows into an adult dog, and someone who can set rules and boundaries and enforce them. Rover is not bitey or nippy, does not jump (as he's not allowed to), walks well on leash and sits for his food. He has an overall fabulous temperament. He would be a great family dog.
