My story

Mattie #9613 is a beautiful 9 month-old female Collie mix. Mattie is a friendly and outgoing gal once she gets to know you; she can be shy initially with new people and environments. She is house and crate trained. She knows the sit and stay commands. She is working on leash etiquette. She knows the sit command. He lived with her brother Miles #9614 and did well with him. She was good with children ages 9 and 11 that she lived with. Her previous family didn’t have time for her and she needs an adopter who will help build her confidence and help her blossom. She rides well in the car. She weighs 50 pounds and is full grown. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks, so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. This pup, like all pups, should be on heartworm preventative; an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If you are interested in adopting this dog, and are already approved to adopt through our organization, please contact dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with the pup’s name and ID number in the subject line. OTHERWISE, please submit an adoption application online: https://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoption-request-form/ E-mail dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions.
