Name: Jill Bean
Breed: Maltese
Weight: approximately 8 lbs
Age: 8 years old
Personality: Jill is a calm, gentle sweetheart. She is happiest when spending time outside to soak up the sun and run in the grass. She enjoys being pet and receiving attention! She is shy at first greeting, but once she comes out of shell she shows you what a love bug she is! Jill must go to a home with another dog.
Home recommendation: Jill had a rough life before being rescued. She will need a patient family who will shower her in love and continue to socialize her. She can be nervous at times so a quiet home would be best suited.
Kids: 10+
Dogs: Yes!
Cats: Unknown, we will only cat test for an approved adopter.
Crate Trained: Jill is not being crated in her foster home and is not destructive when left alone
House Trained: Working on it! She typically will trot around energetically or sniff in a particular spot to signal she needs to go out.
Leash Manners: Jill Bean walks well on the leash. She occasionally pulls when she gets spooked by loud noises.
Training: Jill is nervous but curious around new people. It takes time to gain her trust, but once you do she will be your best friend! She will need a home who will continue to provide her with socialization and basic training.
Why did she come to WISE?: WISE recently rescued a group of dogs who were throw aways from an Amish breeding puppy mill. When the "breeder" decided that the dogs were no longer needed for breeding, he planned to euthanize them. WISE and other rescues stepped up to rescue them.
