My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Paris, a very sweet 5 year old, 15 pound little girl being fostered in Georgetown, TX. Only TX applicants will be considered.
Update 5/13/22: Great news for Paris. She had her cardiology appointment with further testing and she is a healthy little girl. On May 20 she will be spayed and then she will be ready for a new family.

Her new family should be ready to have this sweet girl follow them from room to room, sit as close as she can when you are sitting and snuggle with you at night.

Paris loves loves her walks. She does well with other dogs in the home but it will take a few days for her to accept that they will be there also then she is very very tolerant. At the moment foster mom has 5 dogs all sizes and ages and she does excellent with them. Her previous family mentioned she didnt play with other dogs but she has started playing with the Yorkies. When her and the other dogs have treats or bones she doesnt even mind when they try to take hers. Of course she wont let them have it (lol) Paris is very laid back when there is a lot of activity maybe like children running around or other dogs running around and playing. She is used to children since her family had 4 all ages. Foster mom hasnt observed around other children but did see her with her previous family.

There are things that she will need possible training such as walking on her leash... she will get protective and lunge at other people and dogs. She would be easy to train because when foster mom makes her sit and say no she moves along. Riding in the car she is good for the first 5 minutes then cries because she thinks she should be where she is going (lol). She does eventually lay down to sleep but it is interesting that when the car stops at a light she immediately gets up and gets protective when looking out the window especially when there is a car next to her. This could be that when she was in the car at some point either kids or someone knocked on the window and that frightened her. These will take training and a little patience because that is her only concerns and she has a gentle soul and just loves loves to be loved.

A wonderful home for Paris would be a family that is home most of the time so she wont be left alone and can go for daily walks and if retired can take her on family trips. She had to spend a lot of time alone due her previous family active working life and transferring for careers. If you think Paris can be your new family please go to UYR.org and complete your application.

Update 4/25/22: During the process of Paris' vetting, her vet noticed a possible irregular heartbeat so UYR asked for an EKG just to be sure this little girl will have a happy healthy future life. The EKG showed a second degree AV block so she will be seeing a cardiologist on 5/13 for further tests which will include an Echo, bloodwork and thorough exam by a specialist.

Paris is 5.5 years old and has a wonderful future being with a family that cant get enough love from her. She loves her foster family and follows them room to room, snuggles at night and loves loves her daily walks. She is good with children and hangs out with her foster dog siblings but would be a wonderful family member if you are looking for a fun baby to take on trips, or just hang out. Please go to Unitedyorkierescue.org to complete your application to see if Paris can be the next furbaby for your family.

Initial Bio/4/11. Meet Paris, a sweet sweet Yorkie Poo who is 5 years old and is 15lbs of love. She came to our foster on 4/10 so her foster family is still getting to know and love her. Even in just 1 day we see that she loves a back yard, loves to go for long walks and is a smuggler.

Her family loved her enough to realize that with their very hectic schedule and moving for employment opportunities it wasnt fair to her to be in an apartment by herself most of the day and with another move coming they will be moving into another apartment and she will again be spending most of her day waiting for them to come home. You can see that they showered her with love because she loves to be next to you and be close.

Paris is wonderful around children since her family had 4 and she is good around other dogs. She would be fine with another sibling but her family said she doesnt play with other dogs. Paris is young so she will adapt in time and with a lot of patience and someone to spend time with her she will fit into a new life style.

Her vetting will begin this week with her first trip to her vet to complete her shot series and prepare for her spay surgery.

Paris would be a wonderful companion to travel in your RV, to take on long walks and enjoy a real sweet laid back little girl. If you think you have the ideal home for Paris, please complete an online adoption application using the link below this bio.
