My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr Minnie is a funny dude. He originally was thought to be female until his "spay" told us otherwise, hence his name. He was originally born feral but was brought to us by his mom, Flower, at 5 weeks. His siblings socialized a lot faster than he did. That explains his long stay with our rescue. Little did we know, he was just a unique kitty, not a true feral. This dude lives for instinctual play. He will thrive in a home that will appreciate that he may not be the *typical* lap cat but one that thrives on bonding through play. Wands, lasers, mouse toys, whatever. Anything that stimulates his innate hunting instincts. He will even bring you or show you the toy he wishes to play with. As far as affection, he will give you his butt to pet, and if he really loves you, his tail flicks. But that's all we've seen in that regard. It ain't his style. Maybe when he's in a home that can better support his need for play without competition he will loosen up! He has been exposed to, and fine with, children but he is not a kitty that will tolerate being carried around (likely better in a home with older children). He wants you to treat him as his equal. He has been exposed to dogs and while he is leery of them, he is interested in them and we think he could be a dog's best friend. Maybe even more than another cat's, with time. He is a super intelligent cat. Anyone who appreciates a cat's

natural instincts would love a cat like this. Train him, play with him, love him for who he is. He doesn't appreciate, yet, the art of human snuggles. He is the current alpha in his "cat room" but he's not mean about it. Just stoic. He is the boss and they know it. He doesn't have to show it. That's how cool he is. He's a stud. We love him. And you will too!
