My story

Meet Stance! Stance is a sweet boy who was found tied to cinder blocks behind a secluded location. When he arrived he had a mass on his tail which we removed, and he's been healing quite well! The biopsy results came back as benign! He has clearly been in a home before as he knows sit, paw, go lay down and loves to get head scratches.

Stance allows full body handling and even allows for his paws to be touched! Stance does appear VERY housebroken! Stance has had good dog meets through the fence. Stance loves meeting new people and his tail never stops wagging! When Stance greets his favorite people he will smile, showing his pearly whites. Stance wins first place in the wiggly butt competition. Occasionally, Stance will whine when he wants your attention and would want to put his two front paws on you. The only time Stance will bark is when he also wants attention or if he sees a dog outside of his window.

Stance may do fine in a home with children as he is quite gentle and does not jump much at all. He is a very mellow guy and would love to fill the empty spot on the couch next to you! Stance loves food of all kind (especially hamburgers and nutter butters). Stance has difficulty declining food when it is offered to him - so if you want to win him over he will be pleased with any snack!

per staff:
6/19/22 A good memo to have: does NOT have food aggression. Let's me go near his food bowl with no issues. I dropped food on the floor. He went to lick it. I went to pick it up and he didn't care.

6/20/22 Has done well interacting with other dogs such as Eve, Rain, Rodeo, etc.

6/25/22 Everybody's best friend! Stance is the sweetest boy, I have spent some time in the office with Stance during my lunchtime and he let me sit on the floor with him near his food and water bowls with no problems. He would sit right in front of me or beside me and seek affection from me such as cuddles or kisses on his face. Multiple staff, including myself, has given Stance treats everyday and he always takes treats so gently. He's great when you take him out for walks, he doesn't enjoy going back into the office because he just wants to continue to hangout and play with staff, but with treat motivation will go back into the office. Overall, Stance is just a sweet gentleman who wants to be everybody's best friend.
