We would love to help you find your next family member

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with the foster to set up a meet and greet. We are a foster based RESCUE, not a shelter. All of our dogs are in individual foster homes. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs.
For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

CAMO rescue is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing small dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters.
EIN # is 46-5486022
We rescue 800+ animals a year.

Additional adoption info

ALL adoptions require a completed application, home check and final contract.

Once your approved to adopt we will put you in touch with the foster to see if its a good match and then we can arrange a meet and greet. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Due to the fact that we primarily rescue very small dogs and some bad outcomes, we will not place our dogs in homes with overly large dogs or bully breeds for the safety of our dogs.

More about this rescue

We are a nonprofit animal rescue group devoted to rescuing dogs from high kill shelters. Our mission is to save homeless dogs and educate the community.

CAMO was founded by Holly Dool. CAMO Animal Rescue saves animals in Houston, Odessa/ Midland, and many other surrounding areas.

The rescue is comprised of volunteers who span a range of ages, professions, and experience levels. The commonality among all of our volunteers, is that we love animals and are devoted to saving the lives of homeless animals by getting them off euthanasia lists and into furever families.
