My story

Welcome Oakley to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 8 pound Yorkie/Terrier mix. She has the scruffy body and lower shedding. She likes to be held and is great with other dogs. She is allowed to be off leash with another of other small dogs and she does great. She was confiscated by Animal Control here in Texas. They pulled a number of the Terriers and asked Rescues to step up. CCPAL stepped up for a few of them. She would be great for an older couple or single person wanting a companion dog. She would be fine with a smaller yard. She hasn’t done much leash work from what we can see. She would be small enough to sport around in a dog carrier if you wanted to take her with you. You will need to help finish up her potty training. She will be a perfect companion for some lucky family. She is up on her shots, spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states

Why adoption is a great option

Oakley, a Brattleboro Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
