My story

Meet Tinker - an adorable 9-month-old Calico mixed (Breed is just a guess) kitten who weighs about 6 lbs.  Tinker's foster mom reports that Tinker is an extremely loving and cuddly kitten.  Tinker does not like to be picked up, but she will happily climb onto your lap.  She LOVES to snuggle and sitting on your lap or falling asleep in your arms is a top priority for Tinker.  Tinker is a bit shy around new people and will need time and patience to settle into a forever home.  Tinker is unsure of the senior cats in her foster home, but the foster thinks she would be fine with kittens more her age.  Tinker is an energetic kitten who loves to play with cat toys.    Tinker is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.   The Adoption Fee is $150.00.

***We do not place cats or kittens in home with kids under the age of 5 years old***

***You must be at least 25 years old to adopt from Lovepaws.***   Cats adopted through Lovepaws Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed (unless already declawed at the time of rescue).

***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered and examined annually by your vet.***

Why adoption is a great option

Tinker, a Rockville Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Rockville, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Rockville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rockville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rockville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rockville paves the way for another one to be saved.
