Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please meet Lizzie, an absolutely stunning Mastiff/Labrador retriever mix who came into rescue after she was found tied to a pole in a local neighborhood. Lizzie had 2 cherry eyes which needed surgical correction and was extremely neglected and frightened after being tied to a pole. A person who lived in the neighborhood found her and brought her home for the night to get her safe.
Lizzie has clearly had a very tough past and therefore is extremely timid once you meet her. Once she warms up to you, she is a very silly, happy puppy who will need an owner will work with her to learn right from wrong. She can be destructive if left unsupervised. Lizzie has not been exposed to much so far so she really needs a patient owner who will help her learn how to walk on leash and create positive associations with the things Lizzie fears.
Lizzie is currently being fostered with another small dog and they get along great. Lizzie is big and enjoys playing, so another equally playful dog would be great for Lizzie in her forever home.
If you are patient and looking for a forever family member who is loving and goofy, Lizzie may be the one for you!
Please note: She is being fostered in West Hills, CA and her adoption fee is $500.
