Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome little guy is Patch, an 8-year old Chihuahua. Patch weighs in at about 13 pounds. He came to Animal Advocacy from a local shelter, so we don’t know much about his background.
Now that his heart condition is being managed, and after having his bloodwork done, getting a dental, and having a growth removed, Patch is squared away and ready to move on to his forever home.
With his bold coloring, he attracts lots of attention when he’s out walking with his foster mom. He walks nicely on a leash, by the way. Patch is very friendly with people (because of his size, kids over 8 years old, only, please). And he gets along well with cats and other dogs of all sizes.
Patch is fine on car rides. And, while Patch does like to accompany his person on a walk, but his very favorite thing to do is curl up on your lap and take a little snooze. Oh, and Patch is house trained, too.
Patch was diagnosed with a mild heart murmur. He is doing well on medication, which costs between $50 and $70 a month, depending on where you buy it. We’ll be happy to provide additional information about his medical status.
Patch is a friendly, happy little guy, looking for a family to call his own. If you’re looking for an affectionate little dog to share your home (and your lap) with, you can’t go far wrong with Patch.
Patch has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm, and has been microchipped.
You can visit at the PetSmart in Salt Lake City, (389 W. 1830 S.) the third Saturday of every month from 11-3 pm.
