Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fiji was networked in social media by a good person indicating he needed help . DRWB immediately went out looking for Fiji and found him where reported. Fortunately his situation was not that serious , he had a superficial wound on his back. He is now healthy and his wound healed, hair has grown in that area and has no long term consequences.
He is about 1 yr old and 25 pounds, therefore he is considered a medium size doggy. Fiji is very active and likes to go out on walks, therefore needs an active family and/or a place with a huge yard and preferably another active dog that likes to play (non-alpha).
Currently he lives with a foster home that has other dogs and gets along fine with them. He chases cats, so we don't recommend him to a family with cats.
Fiji suffered abused, despite his bad experience with humans Fiji is social and friendly to everyone, even strangers. He has a sweet heart and still trusts men and women.
He enjoys car rides and playtime. Sleeps in his crate and goes out first thing in the AM to go potty, his foster is doing a great job at keeping him in a schedule, please keep in mind that once a dog transitions to a new environment, they need to learn the new potty routine.
Fiji is curious and will try to go out if any doors are left open, or if you are not careful enough to keep him indoors when opening the front door. Please have the necessary precautions to avoid escapes.
He can also jump from the car if a window is open, so please be careful if you go on car rides, he can not left alone or without a seat belt, otherwise he can jump while the car is in motion.
This boy deserves a great family, someone who will love and protect him for the rest of his life, he already suffered too much. He deserve a life full of love and happiness.
