My story

Meet Henry!
This cute little guy was born on 3/25! Henry is in a foster home with his siblings and does great with them. He is a very mellow boy and is also very affectionate. At his age, we believe he will be just fine with other animals with proper introduction. He is also using the litter box. He can’t wait to join your family!

If you are interested in meeting Henry, please fill out an application via our website at https://therescueproject.net/adoptionapplication and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. This will get you the fastest response.

Henry’s adoption fee is $100 and includes age appropriate vaccines, neuter/spay, and microchip.

All cats adopted from The Rescue Project are intended to be indoor only cats.

Why adoption is a great option

Henry, a Overland Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
