Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Delphia - Long Island Local
Delphia is a smaller girl, approximated 55lbs. With her long flowing coat and soulful eyes, we think this girl could be a black lab/golden retriever mix. She is approximately 55lbs. This shy but sweet girl was found dumped on the side of the road with a confident yellow lab mix, named Denny. We saw a post on facebook with a picture of these two on the side of the road and our partner in Louisiana jumped into action to save them.
Delphia is currently being fostered on Long Island with an easy going calm boy. She is very timid and shy about her new surroundings but is gaining confidence each day. In her foster home in LA, she loved to be around children. For this girl, we are looking for a home with another dog - one who is confident and secure plus a family that understands that this girl will take, time, patience and love to be her best. We always say it takes 3 days for them to decompress, 3 weeks for them to feel safe and comfortable and 3 months to finally feel like this is home.
NYSRR is a small rescue located on Long Island. Our vets, trainers, volunteers, and fosters are located here, which is why we typically adopt to families within a 60 mile radius of Long Island.
