Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Malcolm is a spirited terrier mix from New Orleans, Louisiana. We adopted him from a shelter in September of 2017. He had been found wandering on the street and no owner ever claimed him from the shelter. His estimated age is 7 years old, give or take a year (according to the first veterinarian we took him to upon adoption).
Malcolm is playful, cuddly, and protective. He would do best in a home with older children and family members who are experienced with dogs and are willing to give him all the attention he needs and to continue to train him. He currently knows sit & down. He is highly motivated by food and benefits from daily walks. He does well on a leash, but barks at other dogs.
He is slow to get to know strangers and needs attention (e.g. lots of treats and reassurance) when meeting new people. He takes time to warm up to other animals.
