My story

Meet Journey! Just like her name...she has been on a journey to heal, decompress, and learn how to be a dog. On day 1 with she was shut down, petrified to be touched, was extremely underweight for her age/size and had horrible hair loss from lack of care. A month in she is a completely crate trained and potty trained. She doesn't love the crate, but she settles in quickly and sleeps soundly throughout the night. At about a year and a half, she is young and energetic with a new lease on life. Her preferred home is someone who is experienced with her breed. She loves her daily walks and will walk with friends who have dogs and she's also been socialized with other dogs and loves to play! She also likes to be silly and play in water. She walks well on a leash. She can be off leash and isn't in any hurry to run away. She's learned sit and shake. She is very playful. She loves a tennis ball and loves stuffed toys. Due to being neglected for most of her early life, she craves attention and she deserves it. With frequent walks, socialization, and plenty of toys, she's become the sweetest girl. Journey needs mental stimulation and is a working dog. She's not going to be happy just being in a backyard. She will want love and attention from her human. She is playful with dogs once she gets to know them. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
