My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elena is some cat! She is smart, funny, curious, and sweet and she has a very unique personality. She is young and still full of kitten energy. During the day, she keeps pretty busy playing with toys and the other kitties in her foster home, but will do fly-by check-ins to make you some biscuits (she’s a champion biscuit maker!) and get some love. At night, she likes to snuggle with her human(s) and settles down nicely. She is very curious and usually follows her human(s) around to supervise their activities and may even try to “help”. She loves plush toys that she can carry around in her mouth and, sometimes, she will leave them on your pillow as a gift. She has learned to turn one of her favorite toys on by pushing the power button with her teeth so that she doesn’t have to wait for a human to do it for her. She also loves to carry plastic balls into the (empty) bathtub to play with them. Elena gets along well with the dogs and other kitties in her foster home, but she did once live with a kitty who did not take to her and, as a result, she may hiss, initially, when introduced to a new cat. Elena would love a playmate in her new home, but any resident kitty would need to be calm and patient and would need to not be offended by some hissing, while Elena settles in. Elena is independent enough that she could be an only kitty, too.
Home recommendation:
- May be an only pet or good for a home with a cat friendly dog and/or calm, patient cat
- Has not spent time with kids but would likely do well with them
- Looking for a human who appreciates a busy, highly intelligent kitty with a big, fun, quirky personality
