Frito is a male chihuahua/shihpoo 2-2.5 y/o, ~5 lbs, and potty trained. He could stand to gain at least another pound but as a normal Chi personality, he’s a fussy eater. He responds to ‘Puppy’; he doesn’t know the name the shelter gave him. He will be the happiest in a home as an only pet where he can have all the attention. Due to his size and quiet personality, he’s most suitable for a quiet home with a single person, a couple, or a family with high school kids. He has not been tested with younger kids or cats. It’s likely he’ll want to be in your arms if visitors are younger than HS age. He must have a fenced yard for his zoomies and someone who’s home most of the day. At first, he’s a little nervous on car rides but settles down quickly in a doggy car seat. He’s easy to take along to run errands and would love to be your pocket puppy. He ignores other dogs. He enjoys really small stuffies to throw in the air for himself; he does the same with blueberries. And, sometimes he’ll play with his food before eating. He likes to chase cat strings and any laundry you’re attempting to fold or put on yourself. He’s good about entertaining himself. He walks well on a leash. And, he’s fine in a crate but it’s unnecessary since he’s potty trained, doesn’t chew, and always wants to sleep in the bed under the blankets with his human. Basically, all he cares about is his human connections. Frito is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-.
