Did you have a rough day? My name is Molina, and I’m just who you want by your side if you’re feeling sad or stressed. I will cuddle up with you, give you kisses, let you hug me and pet my soft fur, and once you gaze into my sweet, soulful eyes you will know everything is going to be ok. Then I’ll bring the comic relief, rolling around on the floor, gleefully tossing toys in the air, and nosing you to play until you can’t help but crack a smile.
Sure, I’m a bit shy and skittish at first, but it doesn’t take me long to warm up to basically any kind human. (You’ll have to forgive me for being hesitant, life wasn’t always as good for me as it is now).
Playing is my favorite! With toys, with other dogs, even fetch with humans is a blast! Will you play fetch with me?? At my most playful moments, I’ve heard I can be somewhat like “a bull in a china shop” (whatever that means), so I may not fit in well in a home with little kiddos or anyone else who could be easily knocked down.
Outside is my happy place, and I will hang out there for hours if you let me. I love to lay in the sun for a while and then take a break to cool off under some trees or shrubbery. I am NOT a fan of leashes though, and absolutely will not walk on one. It’s possible I can learn to love them with some training, but please don’t expect me to accompany you on the Beltline or to your favorite restaurant patio just yet. My ideal home has a yard where I can relax and watch the world go by.
I mostly do my business outside, but I’m not 100% house trained yet and will need my new human to be patient with me and keep me on a schedule. Don’t have time to keep an eye on me? I’m happy to chill in a crate until you’re ready! I do really well in a crate overnight and will sleep in there voluntarily during the daytime too.
