Sonny is a male black and tan Min Pin/Rat Terrier mix. He is 5-6 years old and he weighs 12 pounds. Sonny is neutered and fully vaccinated including rabies. He recently had a dental cleaning and a significant fatty tumor removed (see picture). Sonny is heartworm positive and on moxi/doxy slow kill treatment. The group that came in with Sonny all had demodex mange, yeast and skin infections. Sonny was not in bad condition but he will need a little more time and a good diet to get his perfect coat. Sonny is ready for adoption.
Sonny is a darling boy. He is sweet and affectionate. Sonny is well-socialized and ready to be someone’s lap buddy and shadow. He likes to be outside some including sunbathing. Sonny will walk on a leash and he is crate and potty trained. He is pretty easy going and would be fine in a home with or without dogs, with one person or a whole family.

A completed adoption application and, upon approval, an adoption contract is required. Jeff Tarpley Rescue welcomes applications from homeowners, renters, and condo or apartment dwellers. At a minimum, a phone interview will be conducted and a vet reference checked before the applicant may meet their preferred pet.
We adopt primarily in the 4 states of the ArkLaTexOma. Applicants willing to travel to Texarkana will also be considered with additional requirements to qualify as approved.
