My story

Meet Roxy! This girl is a happy, energetic 9 month old lab mix. Weighing in at about 45 lbs, she is the perfect family size dog, past the typical puppy chewing stage and still playful! In typical lab fashion this girl has not met a stranger and loves people. Roxy is a friendly, outgoing girl that loves belly rubs! She just wants to be a part of your pack. Roxy loves other dogs both large and small. Bonus, this girl is generally quiet and not a barker!

Her ideal furever home will be one where she can be a part of the family joining in all the adventures. She is smart and inquisitive! Roxy is a quick learner and wants to please. She quickly mastered walking on a leash and is working on basic commands in her current foster home. Roxy is very adaptable and will do well as a single dog or in a home with multiple dogs.

Why adoption is a great option

Roxy, a Weatherford Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
