Hello!!!! I come from a LONG LINE of Hunter dogs, and therefore my name is ..... DUH!!! Hunter is my name AND my game... but I honestly don't HAVE to hunt anymore- you know why???? Cause I landed the deal of my LIFETIME!! A gig with food, love and hope for a REAL family and a REAL LIFE! Now, that is what I would say is the "fish story" of the year. I was starving, heartworm positive, not feeling I would last much longer until my LUCK changed in an instant! So I am a one of the lucky ones. I literally got saved, fed like a king (gained 20#) and now have had my heartworms treated and I am just waiting for the right family. I am great with other dogs, all people, I have the sweetest temperament and will grace your couch with all kinds of doggy rescue glitter and lots of kisses to show you how grateful I am to be among the living and the RESCUED!! I am only about 3 yrs old, so we have years and years of memories to make! Fill out the application and away we sail, to fish another day! Me and you.

Adoption counselor will email you to discuss the inquiry/application,and give more info about the pet, the foster and adoption process..

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..
If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.
