***NEEDS FUREVER HOME***
Currently in Blackfoot, ID
We are so happy to have saved this lovely 4-year-old sweet, affectionate Dutch Shepherd boy we renamed BANDIT who is so very appreciative of having even a temporary foster family to love on him. He walks right next to foster mom with his head touching her side. He loves the human connection.
BANDIT is good with people, including kids. He has a fun and quirky personality. He is excitable, but not hyperactive; he calms nicely. He loves to do hot-laps around the yard. He's not big on toys or bones, but that may come with time.
BANDIT is fine with other dogs after he gets to know them (he is a little grumbly at first, but not aggressive). He will need to be fed separately from other dogs. He would do best in a home without small animals.
BANDIT doesn't seem to know any obedience commands, but he is food-motivated so training should be easy.
BANDIT is crate-trained and remains calm and quiet. He seems mostly housetrained, but does mark (he is not yet neutered).
BANDIT is fully vaccinated, neutered, and will be microchipped for his furever family.

We require a foster or adoption application to qualify to foster or adopt our animals. We do check your current veterinary reference and landlord approval if renting. The next step is a "meet and greet" with all family members and/or household occupants, and current pets. Upon approval, we offer a "trial adoption" period that allows adopter to make sure of a good fit for both the dog and family. Adoption is final when adoption contract (different from application) is filled out and signed, and adoption fee is paid. Our adoption fees range from $75 - $300 (puppies) currently, but are subject to revision if our veterinary costs rise.
